A 100th Birthday Celebration

At Presbyterian Senior Care, we embrace aging in everything we do. It is always a big deal when a resident has a birthday, but when that birthday is an extra special occasion, so is the celebration!
Recently, we celebrated a big birthday when Ken-Ton resident, Ruth M., turned 100! At her party, Ruth was surrounded by friends, family, and fellow residents. Everyone enjoyed cake, punch, and live music from Sax Man Slim. Village of Kenmore Trustee, Katie

A Resident Gets Her Wish

Karen - Senior Wishes

Family is everything to us at Presbyterian Senior Care. Sometimes our residents have family that live far away and it can be difficult to stay in touch and visit.
Recently, Ken-Ton resident and community volunteer, Karen had a wish to visit her granddaughter in Seattle that was granted by Senior Wishes. This reunion was extra special to her because her granddaughter has been experiencing health issues and is recovering from an illness. It’s been many years since

The Holidays Hit Presbyterian Senior Care

Santa Visiting Lockport's Christmas Party

We work to make sure their holiday season is just as bright as they make ours, but every year they surprise us more with their love of the

Recently, Ken-Ton resident, Rose H., received her wish of a mini makeover from Senior Wishes. This meant the world to Rose. When talking about the experience, she said, “I was ecstatic and I

Celebrating Life at Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village

Earlier this year, we had a program, as we often do, celebrating life in our independent senior living community.  This program was a little different from our others in that yes, we were celebrating life, but we gathered on this day to celebrate the life’s of family members that have passed on in the last two years.  I say family members, because once you come to live at Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village you become like a family member

Have you heard of Baddie Winkle?
I fell in love with this gal after seeing her outfit at the MTV 2016 Video Music Awards and then finding her bio video on you tube:
This woman is my hero.
A true testament to resilience, courage and enjoying living in the moment.  Don’t we all want to embrace aging like Baddie Winkle?
What makes her so spectacular, short of everything?  Baddie is not just aging, she is living.  We could all

A view of Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village from the other side of the table…

This was the first time I found myself sitting on the other side of the table.  All day, every day, I talk about how wonderful our senior communities are, why they are the best choice and how much I care about them.   And today, I found myself, parked next to my Great-Aunt, listening with her about our beautiful Ken-Ton Presbyterian Village.
I was almost moved to tears of excitement when I was listening, this time as a prospect
